SalaryWe are looking for a qualified Medical Assistant / Patient Care Technician (PCT) to provide daily assistance to patients. You will help them with their basic needs and collaborate with medical professionals to achieve excellent patient care.
Summary: Assists in examination and treatment of patients under direction of Physician by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients
- Interviews patients, measures vital signs such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height and records information of patients’ charts.
- Drapes patients with covering and positions instruments and equipment
- Assists with wound care
- Inventories and orders medical supplies and materials
- Operates electrocardiograph (EKG) and other equipment to administer routine diagnostic test or calls medical facility or department to schedule patients for tests
- Screens telephone calls for physicians
- Returns patient phone calls
- Calls in patient prescriptions
- Schedule hospital and outpatient surgeries
- Answers triage calls
- Travel required
- Safeguard the privacy of patient health information
- Other related duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge in medical terminology.
- Ability to effectively communicate.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.15 - $22.12 per hour
