Medical Assistant

Come and be a part of an amazing team! We’re a fun and busy dermatology practice looking for a full-time Medical Assistant. We are looking for someone that is outgoing and friendly to provide a great first impression along with us.
Must have great communication skills and be willing to be cross trained on the front desk portion of the practice.
Responsibilities include:

• Assist with answering office phone and fielding phone calls from patients to address clinical questions and concerns.
• Escort patients to exam rooms, complete initial intake, and start notes.
• Documenting in EMR system.
• Scribe for provider(s) during exam.
• Assist with procedures such as biopsies, excisions, and cosmetic procedures.
• Communicate with insurance companies and/or pharmacies to get prior authorizations for procedures and medications.

Qualifications:

• Strong interpersonal skills & work ethic.
• High standard of professionalism & integrity.
• Previous experience as a Medical Assistant in a healthcare setting.
• Dermatology experience is desired but not required.
• Familiarity with scribing (experienced applicants will be contacted first), prior authorizations and medical terminology.
• Attention to detail & accuracy is a MUST.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible and quick on your feet.
• Bilingual (Spanish speaking) a plus but not required.
