Job Description
A qualified candidate must possess compassion, empathy, and the ability to handle the demands of the position. The ideal candidate will have a strong medical background with experience directly treating patients in a telehealth or in-person setting. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Providing services to patients that may include, but are not limited to, performing initial examinations including physical exams and patient observations, drug screening, phlebotomy, and other diagnostic screenings as indicated.
- Perform clinical responsibilities within scope of practice in either a telehealth or in-person clinic. Location is subject to vary based on state requirements.
- Adhere to organizational standards, policies, and procedures, in addition to legal regulations
- Create and maintain medical documentation to support the patient’s comprehensive treatment plan and medical history.
- Other responsibilities may include setting up and monitoring medical equipment, ordering and administering diagnostic tests, communicating test results to patients and their families
- Manage patient access to both scheduled and non-emergent unscheduled visits to ensure availability and continuity of care
- Identify and prescribe appropriate pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments, when appropriate
- Consult with physicians and other healthcare providers when clinically indicated. Collaborative agreements may be necessary as part of your position.
Requirements and skills
- Certified Medical Assistant
- At least two years of experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as, listening skills
- Ideal candidate with have superior organization and time management skills with the ability to work collaboratively
- Empathy and compassion for our patients
- Basic life support (BLS) certification or equivalent preferred
