Form of workWe are seeking a dynamic Medical Ophthalmic Assistant / Medical Technician to join our team near Ossining, NY. This is a direct hire role. In this role, you will undertake a variety of tasks daily, requiring adept multitasking and prioritization skills. Confidentiality in handling sensitive information is paramount, and we place great value on exceptional communication abilities coupled with proficiency in executing 'behind the scenes' responsibilities.
Medical Ophthalmic Assistant / Medical Technician Responsibilities:
- Conduct preliminary tests on patients prior to their consultations with physicians or surgeons.
- Perform vision tests, refractions, tonometry, visual fields assessments, and other diagnostic procedures.
- Support physicians during laser procedures and other minor in-office surgical interventions.
Medical Ophthalmic Assistant / Medical Technician Requirements:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or equivalent software.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication skills.
- High work ethic and positive attitude.
- Capacity to work independently.
- Preferred experience in Ophthalmology, though attitude, enthusiasm, and teamwork spirit are paramount.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary Range: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
