Medical Assistant

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing support to healthcare professionals and ensuring the smooth operation of our medical facility. This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare professionals with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments
- Take patient vital signs, record medical histories, and update patient information in electronic health records
- Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for testing
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical instruments
- Administer medications under the supervision of healthcare professionals
- Provide patient education on medication usage, diet, exercise, and other healthcare instructions
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic pharmacology
- Proficiency in medical coding and billing processes
- Experience with electronic health records systems
- Excellent communication skills and ability to provide exceptional patient care
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information
- CPR certification preferred

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
