SalaryMedical Assistant needed for our Springfield office.
College education is REQUIRED, even if currently ongoing.
Experience preferred but training can be provided. Computer/typing skills are a must.
Responsibilities
- Primary - Answer phone calls in a professional and courteous manner.
- Primary - Schedule appointments
- Primary - Communication skills to converse clearly over the telephone and in person
- Primary - Verify insurance, financial records and collect patient payments
- Primary - Communicate scheduling difficulties with providers
- Primary - Serve as a point of contact for patients before and after their appointment
- Take vitals, check-in/check-out patients, enter information in charts etc
- Prepare patients for examinations.
- Assisting physician during examinations and procedures
- Perform all duties within HIPAA regulations.
- Typing/computer skills are a must.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
