Medical Assistant – Urology Team
Busy clinic in Rockford is hiring a Medical Assistantto work with their Urology team. Ideal candidate will have one year’s experience as a Medical Assistant. This is a Furst-to-Hire opportunity, offering excellent benefits once hired into the company. Great hours and a great team to work with. We are looking for a Medical Assistantwho will take initiative and who excels in a fast-paced environment.
Hours: 8am to 4:30pm, Mon-Fri
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00/hour DOE
Medical Assistant Responsibilities:
- Room patients, verify and record patient information, and update patient’s medical history
- Take phone calls
- Submit lab or imaging orders
- Prepare for the next day schedule
- Assist with biopsies and cystoscopies
- Perform venipunctures/draw blood
- Assist physician during exams and surgical office procedures
- Collect and prepare lab specimens
- Prepare treatment rooms for exams
- Stock supplies, keep rooms clean
Medical Assistant Requirements:
- Energetic personality, quick learner, and self-starter
- Able to work independently
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Possess critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication skills
