Esse Health is currently looking for a full-time Medical Assistant for the office of Dr. Husain!
SUMMARY: The primary responsibility of this position will be to function as a Scribe and document in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) during the patient visit with the provider. The Medical Assistant may also be asked to assist in rooming of patients, taking vital signs, running reports, calling patients, and working on metrics. The Medical Assistant is highly visible in their interactions with patients and must therefore project a positive image at all times including: smiling, greeting patients with enthusiasm, and maintaining an upbeat positive attitude in all interactions with patients and coworkers.
Preferred Qualifications: Advanced level user of an EMR system (NextGen preferred), formal training which will probably be indicated by a graduation certificate from an accredited Medical Assistant program; CPR Certification; PC/Windows proficiency, medical coding proficiency, willingness to assign high priority to patient comfort and satisfaction; ability to communicate effectively and to work compatibly with physicians, coworkers, and employees in other departments.
