Women’s Wellness Center is a growing gynecology and aesthetic practice seeking an experienced and highly motivated Certified Medical Assistant. We are looking for a team member who will play a vital role in providing quality patient care, and assisting our healthcare professionals in various clinical and administrative tasks. Responsibilities
- Perform vital signs measurements, including blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, and respiratory rate
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Perform phlebotomy and other point of care tests as needed
- Provide administrative support such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling insurance
- Ensure proper coding of medical procedures for billing purposes
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Follow infection control protocols to ensure the safety of patients and staff
- Provide exceptional patient service by addressing inquiries and concerns in a professional and compassionate manner
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care
Skills
To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- Proficiency in performing vital signs measurements accurately
- Knowledge of medical coding principles and practices
- Ability to assist with office based procedures under the supervision of a healthcare professional
- Proficiency in electronic medical record systems, with knowledge of Athena Health preferred
- Proficiency in use of various computer programs, such as Word, Excel, Google Docs, etc.
- Experience providing medical administrative support such as answering phones in a professional manner, managing patient records and scheduling appointments
- Strong understanding of anatomy and medical terminology
- Basic life support (BLS) certification is required
- Competence in medication/vaccine administration following established protocols
- Excellent interpersonal skills to provide compassionate patient care
