Medical Assistant (Part-Time)

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a part-time Medical Assistant and scribe. Must be friendly, able to multi-task, reliable, have excellent communication skills and a quick learner. Pay depends on experience.

Hours would be Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday mornings and Thursday afternoon

RESPONSIBILITIES

Rooming patients, assisting doctors, scribing for the doctors, drawing blood, sterilizing instruments, giving injections, logging and care of specimens, prescription follow-up, answer nurse calls, relaying messages to patients about biopsy results, blood test results and other instructions from the Doctor. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proven working experience as a Medical Assistant or medical secretary preferred.
• Sterilization technique and phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
• Social perceptiveness and service oriented
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and planning skills

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
