Job Summary:
Works Directly with the Workforce Development Manager, Assists with the MA training program. coordinates materials for presentations, events, rsvp and provides general support to the Workforce Development Manager. Maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor Certification to conduct classes, track and monitor BLS status of Hamilton employees.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the Workforce Development Manager.
- Maintains data collection for the workforce development program student performance, attendance, and skills acquisition.
- Attend monthly meetings with Preceptors.
- Assist with facilitating skills labs for the workforce development program.
- Provide Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor-led classes to include tracking and monitoring of processes in accordance with Hamilton’s protocols and other governing regulations.
- Works within the parameters as defined by Hamilton’s Quality Department and follows established protocols to meet the requirements of regulatory agencies.
Minimum Education/Certifications: High School diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program required with an associate degree. BLS Instructor certification with American Heart Association, preferred.
Knowledgeable in The Joint Commission and bi-lingual, preferred.
Minimum Work Experience: Minimum of two years related experience or certified clinical Medical Assistant and a minimum of five years comparable work experience.
Other Requirements: Must have reliable transportation to travel throughout the service area.Must complete MA training to understand the expectations and duties. Must complete training with National Health Career Association (NHA), within six months of hire date.
