Job Description
Cross Country Workforce Solutions Group (CCWSG) is hiring Medical Assistant candidates to be considered for a Float Pool registry with a geriatric PACE facility located in Echo Park, Los Angeles, CA.
The Medical Assistant will help provide the facility with staffing needs for any call offs, paid time off, or understaffed teams.
This is a role for a team-player who is enthusiastic about working collaboratively to ensure PACE participants meet their goals. In this role, you will assist with the provision of direct participant care by performing routine care procedures and technical/administrative support services in the clinic. You will partner closely with the interdisciplinary team to share any feedback on the participant’s well-being or changes in status. You will document all specialties in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR). This is a center-based role.
Expectations for this Role
- Performs participant intake, fulfills orders and manages participant flow in the clinic.
- Collaborates with clinic team members to provide positive experiences for participants
- Rooms participants in a timely manner, obtaining routine vital signs and screenings
- Performs back office, laboratory, and testing procedures
- Supports clinic in tracking referrals, cleaning, and stocking exam rooms
- Assists Clinic Supervisor in managing clinic’s inventory, medical equipment, and supplies
- Coordinates with other clinic staff to schedule follow-up visits, external appointments and annual/bi-annual assessments
- Documents intakes in the EMR system
Attributes of an Ideal Candidate
- Passion and mission orientation for serving high-risk seniors and frail older adults
- Active Medical Assistant in California
- Certified in Phlebotomy
- High school diploma
- RMA or CMA Certification by a Medical Assistant Certifying Organization approved by the State Medical Board, preferred
- Two (2) years of Medical Assistant experience in a clinical setting with a frail or elderly population
- Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move up to fifty pounds.
- Assist Participants with mobility challenges.
FLOAT POOL –
Available to for coverage for call offs, PTO requests, Leave of Absence coverage, as needed requests.
