Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare providers in patient examinations and procedures
- Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Administer injections and medications as directed by healthcare providers
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as collecting specimens and conducting urine tests
- Prepare patients for x-rays and other diagnostic procedures
- Provide basic life support in emergency situations
- Assist with medical administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of examination rooms
Experience:
- Previous experience working as a Medical Assistant preferred
- Knowledge of medical coding and terminology
- Proficiency in basic life support techniques
- Familiarity with medical administrative support tasks
- Understanding of human anatomy and physiology
Skills:
- Ability to perform x-rays and operate related equipment
- Strong patient care skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with patients and provide compassionate care
- Knowledge of medical coding systems and ability to accurately code procedures and diagnoses
- Proficiency in basic life support techniques, including CPR certification
- Experience with medical administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records
- Understanding of human anatomy and physiology, including knowledge of common diseases and conditions
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred
- Certification as a Medical Assistant is a plus
- Experience working in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred
