Podiatry office in Pasadena, CA, is seeking a back office Medical Assistant to perform back-office duties in a professional, organized, and ethical manner and work closely with the physician in the clinical setting.
Major Duties/Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
Greeting patients with a friendly, compassionate, and professional demeanor.
Utilizing a desktop or laptop computer for data entry and daily office functions.
Scheduling appointments.
Answering phone calls/Scanning/Faxing/Emailing.
Checking patients in at time of arrival.
Document chief complaint/medical history/update medication list.
Maintain a clean/organized work area including front office/triage area/examination/treatment rooms.
Prepare treatment rooms before each examination.
Sterilize instruments and maintain all medical equipment.
Assist the physician with procedures and treatments.
Review physician orders/monitor prescriptions
Stock office/medical supplies and request supply order timely based on inventory needs.
Must be a team player, passionate about patient care, self-motivated with ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Communicate efficiently with patients, physicians, and other healthcare staff.
Other duties as directed by the physician and/ or other office manager.
Required Experience/Job Requirements:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Medical Assistant Certificate
Strong Computer knowledge (i.e. EMR, Word, Excel)
Days: Monday-Friday
