- LOCATION: Rancho Cucamonga, CA
- JOB TYPE: Part-Time (30 or less hours per week); direct hire; permanent employee

- HOURS: Typically, Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm (TBD)
- PAY RATE: DOE ($16.00 - $18.00 hourly)

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Welcoming and rooming patients
- Screening patients’ vitals
- Performing procedures and running diagnostic tests
- Assisting the Physician
- Providing injections & venipuncture
- Administering Medications
- Providing samples as needed/directed
- Chart documentation / entering patient medical information into the computer
- Process and file patient medical paperwork
- Processing referrals to obtain authorizations
- Triage emergency calls appropriately
- Handle pharmacy calls as directed by the physicians same day
- Replying to patient messages and logging
- Scheduling surgeries
- Keeping inventory and ordering supplies as needed
- Process labs appropriately for pick up by Lab Courier
- Filing
- Equipment and equipment maintenance: Report any malfunction or needed repairs to your supervisor in writing.
- O2 tanks: Keep a log on tanks to keep them full. Keep a mask and tubing attached to the tank. Always keep the tank in a secure cart. Attach key to cart or tank so it's always available in case of an emergency.
- Autoclave: Spore testing done once a month.
- Cardio equipment: Stress test equipment kept clean and has yearly annual Maintenance done.
- Holter monitors: Keep clean and yearly preventative maintenance done.
- EKG machine: Keep clean and yearly preventative maintenance done. After each use lay the leads across machine neatly to be ready for emergency. If leads were all tangled up it would take too long during an emergency.
- Endoscope: Keep clean and yearly preventative maintenance done.
- Otoscope: Keep clean and yearly preventative maintenance done.
- Crash cart: Check daily, clean monthly and check for expired medications monthly. Maintain the medication log.
- Cleaning of instruments, surgical trays and exam rooms
- Report any malfunction or needed repairs of office furniture and fixtures to your supervisor in writing as needed
- Keep all daily, weekly and annual logbooks current
- All medical employees are expected to report fraud and abuse of lab or ancillary services, comply with OSHA/CAL-OSHA regulations along with the practices and policies of Physician Support System.

REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Graduate or equivalent required.
- Medical Assistant, current CPR, venipuncture, and injection certificates required.
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills required.
- Basic knowledge of computers, fax machines and photocopiers are required.
- Basic knowledge and experience in assisting physicians with simple surgical and medical procedures, blood pressures, CPR, venipuncture, injections, and EKGs required.
- 1-2 years’ experience in the medical field preferred but not required.
- This position requires scheduling flexibility, very good interpersonal skills, and the ability to adjust to various task requirements.
- Ability to work independently as well as a team player is required.
- Bilingual ability is preferred but not required.
