Description of Responsibilities:
The Medical Assistant works closely with the patient and physician. The Medical Assistant prepares patients for examinations. Assisting the physician during examinations. Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens.

Responsibilities of the Medical Assistant include the following:
1. Receive and direct phone calls, schedule appointments, check-in patients, obtain necessary patient information to file and update patient records, and ensure all forms and consents are completed by patients
2. Check-out patients, assist with referral processing, and arrange laboratory services
4. Prepare patients for examination, take vitals, and record patients' health history
5. Perform routine specimen collection and tests
6. Prepare equipment and examination rooms, and clean instruments
7. Assist physician with medical treatments, procedures, and exams
8. Manage inventory of medical supplies and equip exam rooms with appropriate supplies
Minimum Qualifications
1. High school diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited medical assistance certification program preferred
2. Excellent interpersonal skills
IVF Clinical Experience a plus
3. Ability to always communicate clearly and effectively with patients and other external parties in a courteous and friendly manner
4. Must be detail-oriented and highly organized
5. Firm grasp on medical practices, administrative processes, and organizational policies
6. Knowledge of patient care and examination procedures
7. Must be able to always maintain confidentiality
Physical Requirements
1. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and sit, as well as talk and hear.
2. The employee is required to use hands to operate vehicles and office equipment.
3. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
4. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
