Compensation:$15 - $20
Responsibilities:- Assist Physician's Assistant using Spravato to treat TRD and SI by taking vitals throughout visit
- Schedule appointments with PA as needed
- Assist in getting pre-authorizations for medications or submitting required pharmacy forms
- Put together insurance forms, noting patient symptoms, diagnoses, test results, treatment instructions, and prescriptions in the patient records
- Draw blood and prepare blood samples for laboratory tests
- Say hello to patients when they come to the office, answer the phone, schedule appointments, and answer inquiries about prescription refills and treatment to ensure patients have a pleasant experience at our office
- Speak with the patient about the reason for their visit and record their personal information and medical history to share with the healthcare staff
- Get examination rooms ready for patients by ensuring the rooms are well-stocked and at a comfortable temperature and all equipment is sterilized
- 1 year of prior experience in a medical assisting role performing administrative duties or similar position in a healthcare work environment
- Completed an accredited medical assisting program and an externship in a supervised healthcare setting
- Possesses basic computer skills to complete administrative tasks
- Has Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or other certifying agency
- High school diploma or GED
