Position: Medical Assistant I

Reports to: Charge Nurse LVN
Department: Nursing, Los Feliz Health Center
Schedule: M-F
Our nonprofit client located in the East Hollywood area is in need of a Medical Assistant! This will be a contract-to-hire position and pays $19/hr. Once you are converted to permanent employee, you will be given full benefits

Duties:
- Execute lab responsibilities under clinician guidance.
- Perform back-office tasks and support clinicians.
- Promote efficient patient care and maintain documentation.
- Attend meetings and training sessions as required.
Specialties:
- OB/GYN: Assist in procedures, sterilization, and chart preparation.
- Pediatrics: Administer medications, vaccinations, and assist with procedures.
- Dispensary: Ensure 340B compliance, accurate data entry, and customer relations.
- School-Based Health Center: Work with youth, administer medications, and ensure language-appropriate education.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED:
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- BCLS certified.
- High school diploma or one year of primary care experience.
- Ability to work efficiently, lift up to 45 lbs, and legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- Valid California Drivers license with clean records.
