Medical Assistant

Established medical and cosmetic dermatology practice seeking a Medical Assistant to fill the needs of its growing patient population base. Ideal candidate is highly motivated, personable, punctual, reliable, and team-oriented. Strong computer skills a must. Experience as scribe and use of electronic medical records is requested. (Experience with EMA / Modernizing Medicine a big plus, but happy to train.) Daily activities include triaging patients, scribing in EMR, stocking medical exam rooms, and administrative tasks (checking faxes, scanning medical information in EMR, responding to patient calls, etc). Employee provides direct assistance to the physician and PA: assists with set up of surgical trays, assists with biopsies and surgical procedures such as excisions of skin cancers, cysts, etc. Will also assist with cosmetic procedures such as the injection of Botox and fillers, PRP, laser treatments, and microneedling. Employee provides front desk assistance when needed. Training provided. Physician very interested in helping candidates prepare for career growth. Competitive hourly wage. Qualifications:
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent training.
- Knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic life support certification preferred.
- Experience working in a hospital or clinical setting is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $33.00 per hour
