Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. Duties:
- Perform medical administrative support tasks, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling billing and insurance claims.
- Assist healthcare professionals with patient examinations and procedures.
- Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs, documenting medical history, and explaining procedures.
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers.
- Provide patient education on medical conditions, treatments, and preventive measures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
Skills:
- Working knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology.
- Willingness to learn medical coding and billing of clinic visits and procedures.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems and medical software applications.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and other staff members.
- Compassionate nature with a focus on providing exceptional patient care.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant is highly desirable.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is advantageous.
