Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at Health Atlast West LA. The ideal candidate will have a background in chiropractic and/or physical therapy, with experience in providing clinical support and assisting healthcare providers. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare providers, including chiropractors and physical therapists, with patient examinations, treatments, and procedures.
- Prepare treatment rooms and equipment for patient appointments, ensuring cleanliness and functionality.
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling patient inquiries.
- Conduct patient intake processes, including obtaining medical histories, vital signs, and assisting with documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Provide support to patients during their visits, including answering questions, addressing concerns, and providing educational resources.
- Coordinate with other healthcare team members to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
- Maintain inventory of medical supplies and equipment, replenishing as needed and ensuring proper storage and organization.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant in a chiropractic or physical therapy setting preferred.
- Familiarity with chiropractic and physical therapy procedures and terminology highly desirable.
- Proficiency in basic medical procedures such as taking vital signs, administering treatments, and assisting with minor procedures.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and record-keeping.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a healthcare team in a fast-paced environment.
