Description:
This position supports the Media Center Director, reports to the principal, who is the supervisor. The Media Center is an important space in schools that offers access to print and digital resources. This position includes both the media clerk duties and additional school-level support tasks, such as managing the attendance system.
Job Responsibilities:

• Interact with students and staff to assist with finding materials
• Manage library resources including; checking out books, reshelving books, and processing new books.
• Checks in and shelves books
• Processes new books
• Support the use of Destiny Software and MackinVIA by students
• Support book checkouts
• Maintain an organized media collection
• Act as information resource for students and staff
• Other duties as assigned, including supporting the attendance process for the school

Required Experience and Skills:

• Customer service, office, or related experience
• Successful experience in an educational setting
• Flexible, positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and experience preferred
• Willingness to learn new things, be a self-starter, and think outside the box
• Strong communication and problem solving skills
• Ability to work well in a team
• Ability to learn new technology, including the Destiny database and Google Apps
• High school diploma or higher
