Lemon Squad & SW Inspections, part of Wrench, Inc. company, is the premier US based automotive inspection company with the largest network of inspectors covering the entire USA, including Hawaii and Alaska. We offer pre-purchase, warranty, and mechanical used car inspections for all types of vehicles from cars, trucks, and motorcycles to RVs.
PAY RANGE
This is a contract position where you submit your pay rate and radius for inspections. The average pay for Mechanical or Warranty inspections across the industry is $65 per inspection for a 30 mile radius. We also pay between $70-$100 for pre-purchase inspections and $110-$150 for RV pre-purchase inspections.

JOB SUMMARY

Lemon Squad & SW Inspections offers pre-purchase, warranty, and mechanical inspections on all makes and models of cars, trucks, motorcycles, side by sides, boats, jet skis, RVs and toy haulers.
- A check sheet will be provided for the inspection and must be submitted with pictures as specified
Inspecting for Lemon Squad & SW Inspections is a great way to make extra income and considered a gig job. You are matched to inspections within 40 miles of your zip code where you accept/decline based on your availability. The expected turn-around is to complete the inspection in less than 2 business days.
This is a CONTRACT/1099 position. You would be an independent contractor and paid a flat rate by our company for your services.
Requirements:REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- You must be detailed-oriented
- You need to be able to use a cell-phone and computer
- Provide good customer service
- Have the ability to work independently and have a self-starter attitude
- You must be dependable with reliable transportation
- A minimum of 5 years of automotive maintenance experience
- Current ASEs are preferred but not required
- Ability to drive to the vehicle location, using your own vehicle.
- Ability to complete assignments within 2 business days, during business hours

- Hot plate with container or blow torch and coffee can to boil test thermostat
- Scan tool or code reader
- Telescoping inspection mirror
- Borescope
- Stethoscope
- Tape measure for suspension lift measurements
- Blackstone fluid sample kit
