"Summary: Modify, test and repair machinery and equipment under direction of engineering staff or physical scientists. Typically has a degree in engineering technology and experience with engineering computer applications. Helps engineers design, test, and manufacture industrial machinery, consumer products and other equipment. Possesses technical skills, including the ability to apply and make engineering drawings and has experience using computer applications related to the engineering field. Education/Experience o Associate degree in engineering technology or related field required o 8-10 years experience required Responsibility level o Exercises independent judgment with little to no direction from supervisor Skills o Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem solving ability (Required)o Team player and detail oriented (Required)o Strong leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback (Required)o Strong ability to make sketches, engineering drawings and common computations (Typically required)o Strong ability to perform details calculations to compute and establish manufacturing, construction and installation standards and specifications (Typically required)o Strong knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology (Typically required)o Previous experience with computer applications and design software related to engineering field (Typically required)Major Job Duties and Responsibilities: o Review and approve detail drawing or sketch for drafting room completion or to request parts fabrication by machine, sheet or wood shops o Approve project instructions and blueprints to ascertain test specifications, procedures, and objectives, and test nature of technical problems such as redesign o Approve project instructions and specifications to identify, modify and plan requirements fabrication, assembly and testing o Communicate changes in design, method of manufacture and assembly, and drafting techniques and procedures to staff and approve corrections o Review and approve tool drawing designs by measuring drawing dimensions and comparing with original specifications for form and function using engineering skills o Supervise tests of complete units and components under operational conditions to investigate proposals for improving equipment performance o Analyze test results in relation to design or rated specifications and test objectives, and modify or adjust equipment to meet specifications o Devise, fabricate, and assemble new or modified mechanical components for products such as industrial machinery or equipment, and measuring instruments "

1. Mechanical assembly skills with both small and larger parts and components using hand tools.
2. Some basic computer skills and communication/ writing skills.
3. On time and reliable.
4. CNC machining skills (Fanuc, Okuma OSP, Siemens)
5. Blueprint reading
6. Perform gage inspection of machined parts
7. CAD/CAM (Creo, Solidworks, Mastercam)
