JOB SUMMARY
The role of the Track Heavy Equipment Mechanic is to ensure all maintenance and repair equipment (electric, gas, diesel) used to support the site is safely and fully operational. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, operating, and cleaning all equipment, along with implementing timely and cost-effective repair solutions, equipment Preventative Maintenance planning/scheduling, and condition monitoring through monthly inspections and periodic fluids analysis.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform scheduled daily equipment inspections to verify safe and proper performance on heavy
- equipment, hand tools, other implements and systems.
- Complies with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and Company directives related to building operations and work safety.
- Perform weekly fuel level checks, routine startups on backup generators, pond pumps, fire pumps, and heavy equipment.
- Perform routine Preventative Maintenance on equipment to ensure mowing of vegetation/weeds and
- material handling can be executed safely and successfully.
- Periodically, complete requests to directly support vehicle testing like, such as the application of water or other materials to a roadway or other test surface before and testing.
- Other duties as assigned.
