This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. FTT will require proof of status prior to employment.
GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:
The engineer will have 5 to 8 years of background and responsibility for the design, integration and test of various components and rigs using a general controls and systems engineering background. Gas turbine experience is a plus, but not a requirement. LabVIEW experience a plus.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Applies knowledge in electronic control systems, designs, and assists in the manufacture of consumer products and in the development of new electro-mechanical concepts for new product lines.
- Responsible for assembling components, preparing test plans, and supporting testing and validation of products.
- Uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.
- Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
- Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
- Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise.

- Support the design and development of the test Instrumentation, integration and data acquisition systems
- Create, test and validate the LabVIEW based control and VI for the command and control center
- Experience with gas turbine testing and components
- Experience with data acquisition and control
- Experience with automated systems, actuators, valves, etc.
- Programming experience a plus, especially LabVIEW
- Ability to work hands-on in a testing environment to develop control systems
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic small-company environment.
- Ability to engage industry experts, apply and integrate knowledge of other related engineering areas or experts to own area of expertise.
- Control engineering or systems engineering work experience
- Experience developing test cases and test procedures
- Demonstrated systems engineering approach to manage production or development programs.
- Ability to capture requirements from customers and stakeholders and effectively estimate, communicate, and track integrated product team progress.
- Ability to collaborate with program managers, customers, and team members to assist in developing products that meet requirements.
- Possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the assigned duties, including computer skills.
- Maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by company and government requirements.
- Communicate and interact effectively with peers, supervisors, and public, including maintaining respect for others, and following company policies.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited school plus 5 to 8 years' experience
