Job: General Manager
SUMMARY:
Streamline Car Wash in Rockaway NJ is looking for our next enthusiastic and dedicated General Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our express Car Wash facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, technical/mechanical savvy, and a proven track record of successfully managing teams in the automotive service industry. The General Manager will be responsible for ensuring efficient and effective operations, maintaining high standards of customer service, and driving overall business growth while building a positive and supportive culture.
Responsibilities:
Operational Management:
Oversee all aspects of the Car Wash facility, including equipment maintenance, staffing, and workflow efficiency.
Implement and enforce standard operating procedures to optimize operational performance.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
Team Leadership:
Recruit, train, and manage a team of skilled Car Wash dryers, assistant managers, and POS staff.
Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, motivation, and accountability.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Customer Service:
Maintain a customer-centric approach, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally.
Implement strategies to enhance the overall customer experience.
Financial Management:
Develop and manage budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations.
Monitor financial performance, analyze key performance indicators, and implement corrective actions as needed.
Drive revenue growth through effective sales and marketing strategies.
Quality Control:
Implement and maintain rigorous quality control measures to ensure consistent service delivery.
Monitor and address any issues related to equipment malfunctions, cleanliness, and service quality.
Equipment and Technical:
Monitor, fix, replace, and fine tune equipment as needed, or manage mechanical resources to do the same.
Install, update, mount, or replace various elements within the Car Wash and equipment room.
Inventory and Supplies:
Manage inventory levels of supplies, equipment, parts, chemicals, and other necessary materials.
Establish relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement.
Regulatory Compliance:
Stay abreast of industry regulations and ensure the Car Wash facility operates in compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
Work closely with regulatory agencies and ownership to address any compliance concerns.
Marketing and Business Development:
Develop and execute marketing strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
Explore business development opportunities to expand the customer base and increase revenue.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in a managerial role ideally within the automotive service industry and a focus on Car Wash operations.
Strong organizational, leadership, and team management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
