Responsibilities:
The Intern or CO-OP Student will have the opportunity to work at applying academic education to assigned tasks. He/she is provided an opportunity for on-the-job training and given specific tasks to encourage learning the basics of Revit and electrical design including lighting and power distribution.
The Intern or CO-OP Student works under the direction of a senior staff member who has the authority to exercise control over the design and production tasks. The Intern/CO-OP Student works with all staff members in various roles, pitching in to do any task within their capabilities required at the specific time. The Intern/CO-OP Student reports to the Project/Senior Engineer with additional review provided by the Director or other designated staff member.
QualificationsQualifications:
- Current student pursuing an ABET accredited bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Desire to pursue a career in engineering consulting
- Ability to work full time (40 hours per week) from May through August
- Computer software knowledge or ability to learn, as appropriate (Revit, IES VE, etc.)
