As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing mechanical systems and components for our innovative project.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop mechanical systems, components, prototypes from concept to production-ready stage.
- Conduct research to determine the feasibility of proposed designs.
- Perform detailed engineering calculations, analysis, and simulations to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and safety.
- Perform system integration and testing.
- Create and maintain technical documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, industrial designers, and manufacturing experts to integrate mechanical designs seamlessly.
- Risk assessments, and cost analyses to support project decision-making.
- Create comprehensive technical documentation, including engineering drawings, specifications, and test plans.
- Prepare designs for the manufacturing processes (DFM), troubleshoot issues, and provide innovative solutions for continuous improvement.
- Advise management team how to streamline the development and speed up processes.
Requirements:
- BS/MS/Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering
- 4+ Years of experience in Mechanical Engineering, preferably in Robotics, Kitchen Appliances.
- Project management and planning.
- CAD Software Proficiency 3+ years (e.g., SolidWorks / AutoCAD / Inventor, etc). engineering analysis tools (e.g., FEA, CFD). A bonus if you have experience with CNC machining and fabrication.
- Background in scalable DFM / DFA products or deep knowledge in casting, injection molding, and machining.
- Experienced in designing, manufacturing, troubleshooting, and debugging prototype hardware.
- Proficiency in drafting and technical writing.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform FEA analysis.
- Strong knowledge of Mechanical Engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with product development lifecycle, from concept ideation to production implementation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to design, prototyping, DFM and commercializing
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present technical information clearly.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and meet project deadlines.
- In person and hands on with our technology in our Austin TX location + Remote Hybrid options.
