SalaryRadiance Technologies, a rapidly growing employee-owned company, is seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer to support the Emerging and Disruptive Weapons Group. This individual will directly support the execution of design, development, integration, and testing efforts for multiple Government and military customers. Candidate will be responsible for applying sound Mechanical Engineering and design principles in the development and analysis of mechanical structures. Candidate will work as an individual contributor and within a diverse, multi-discipline engineering team supporting and leading multiple, simultaneous efforts.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering by May 2024
- US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a security clearance
- Ability to work independently on projects with tight schedules
Required Experience
- Candidate must have academic or professional project leadership experience on design and development efforts
Desired Qualifications
- Finite Element Analysis and Computational Fluid Dynamics using Ansys
- Thermal analysis of metal and composite materials under high heat fluxes.
- Experience with the design of electro-optical system packaging and mounting structures for military platforms
- Experience with opto-mechanical designs
- Experience interfacing and communicating with customers (preferably Government or DoD)
- Field test experience
- Experience creating technical drawings according to ASME Y14.100
- Proficiency using SolidWorks and MATLAB
- Candidate must have demonstrated proficiency with MATLAB.
