Hey there! RPO Recruitment is on the lookout for an amazing Mechanical Engineer to join our client's team. As a Mechanical Engineer, you'll have the opportunity to work on all stages of product development, from research and development to design and manufacture, all the way to installation and final commissioning. Our goal is to design and fabricate mechanical components that are both innovative and excellent.
Responsibilities- Work on the full lifecycle of product development, including designing, developing, testing prototypes, manufacturing, and implementation
- Create systems and components that meet specific needs and requirements
- Produce outline designs and conduct experiments to analyze and interpret results
- Evaluate theoretical designs and identify effective solutions to emerging problems
- Assess the overall performance, reliability, and safety of the final product
- Make necessary alterations and modifications to designs to meet requirements and eliminate malfunctions
- Estimate project budget and scope
- Solicit feedback and observations from operators
- Prepare product reports and documentation
- Engage in lifelong learning and keep up with new theories and methods in the field
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of proven working experience in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM), finite element analysis (FEA), and computational fluid dynamics (CFD)
- Hands-on experience with computer-aided engineering (CAM) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAE)
- Familiarity with 2D or 3D engineering design and manufacturing tools (e.g., AutoCAD, ProE)
- Adequate knowledge of engineering analysis tools (ANSYS, ProMechanica, or similar)
- Proficiency in mathematical computing and analysis tools (Matlab, Excel, LabView, etc)
- Solid understanding of core concepts including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, materials science, etc.
- Strong creativity and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate technical knowledge clearly and in a friendly manner
- Ability to write technical documentation
- BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification is a plus
