$120,000-$150,000/year depending on experience
Job Summary:
The client is one of the largest privately held, mechanical contracting, engineering, energy solution, and service organizations on the east coast. The role involves spearheading all design operations and enhancing the organization's design procedure and capacity to provide exceptional, top-notch designs to its clients.
Essential Duties:
- Manage and review contract documents ensuring optimal productivity.
- Estimation of projects through detailed analysis of plans, specifications, and on-site visits when required.
- Assemble detailed documentation for the project management team.
- Design and strategize efficient work methods, create detailed sketches/drawings, and set project timelines.
- Cultivate strong relationships with team members, clients, suppliers, project owners, and subcontractors.
- Stay updated with building envelope codes, industry standards, and systems.
- Conduct heat load calculations and ensure timely software updates.
- Mastery of the estimating process and the ability to provide value-engineering solutions.
- Instruct and guide support staff about design intricacies and constructability.
- Suggest and implement strategies to enhance project profitability.
- Ensure all operations are in alignment with company policies, contractual agreements, and applicable laws.
Qualifications:
- 7-10 years of Mechanical Engineering experience.
- Leadership experience.
- Retain or obtain Professional Engineer (PE) certification in relevant states.
