Springfield Plastics, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of drainage pipe and fittings in the Midwest. We offer the highest quality pipe and fittings in the industry. We have experienced high levels of growth over the years and are continuing to build our team for future growth. Due to this continued growth, we are seeking to hire a Mechanical Engineer to join our already established team! This position will be based at our manufacturing facility located in AUBURN, ILLINOIS.
As a Mechanical Engineer you will perform duties in planning, designing, and troubleshooting tools, motors, machines, and other equipment or products. In addition, you will oversee the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment.
Requirements:- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or obtaining within 6 months
- Have a current PE license or ability to attain within 5 years
- Identify new areas for learning and applying newly gained knowledge/skills on the job
- Work collaboratively
- Ability to work independently
- Highly organized with motivation to learn new things
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Experience or knowledge of: Microsoft Office
- Dependability. Attendance is a priority
- Other duties as assigned
Travel: 20% includes customer site visits or sales trade shows
