Requires hands-on experience inautomation, robotics and PLC programming. Requires 5+ years of Solidworksexperience.
Provide project planning,manage project objectives including scope of work and project plans; ensuringproject completion by proactively identifying and addressing project issues.
Support Operations by recommending methods andmaterials for process improvements. Ability to 3D model design and createdrawings using Solidworks. Solve day-to-day manufacturing process problems,provide engineering expertise and/or support in the areas of tooling, prints,specifications, materials and vendor products throughout the organization.Create and implement validation protocols in collaboration withQuality/Regulatory.
DEVELOPSMANUFACTURING PROCESSES BY:
Designing and modifying equipment for fabricating,building, assembling, and installing components; establishing schedules withmilestones, tasks, responsible parties and due dates; providing processrequirement specifications used to fabricate products, including acceptancecriteria, test requirements and regulatory/quality standards; using engineeringprinciples and techniques to research, design, analyze and test new andexisting materials and processes; issuing reports based on the test results ofprocess validation; coordinating work with the tool shop and outside vendors todevelop and/or make tooling and prototypes for process development.
ENSURESSYSTEM AND PRODUCT QUALITY BY:
Designing testing methods; testing finished product/processand system capabilities; confirming fabrication, assembly, and installationprocesses; performing pre-production runs working with manufacturing, qualityand purchasing to ensure the product and process designs meet product designrequirement specification and can be economically produced in production.
EVALUATESAND DEVELOPS MECHANICAL AND ELECTROMECHANICAL PRODUCTS BY:
Studying customer requirements; researching andtesting manufacturing and assembly methods and materials; solicitingobservations from operators; designing and conducting research programs;applying principles of mechanics thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, andmaterials.
DEVELOPSTESTING REQUIREMENTS BY:
Defining product design test requirements andspecifications; preparing a test plan and provides test equipment for testingnew process designs.
CONFIRMSSYSTEM AND PRODUCT CAPABILITIES BY:
Designing feasibility and testing methods; testingproperties.
SUPPORTSOPERATIONS BY:
Recommending methods, materials and providesdrawings for product improvements based on manufacturing needs andcapabilities; providing engineering expertise and/or support in the areas oftooling, prints, specifications, materials and vendor products throughout theorganization.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in engineering from college or university with a minimum of 7 years experience in manufacturing automation.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conforms to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups and/or boards of directors
Proficient at Solidworks 3D modeling and drawing creation. Personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database, activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc. Proficient in computer-assisted engineering software and equipment.
