Job Description
General Duties:
Responsible for developing installation requirements, technical information, airframe production installation/fabrication drawings, engineering instructions, and related production guidance materials as it pertains to the mechanical and structural aspects of an aircraft modification program under the guidance of a senior engineer.
Essential Job Functions:
- Engineer for DoD and FAA aircraft modification programs;
- Prepare detail, assembly, and installation drawings;
- Develop 3-D models and 2-D drawings to support the installation of mechanical and structural provisions;
- Participate in engineering design feasibility studies;
- Participate in creation of stress analysis reports;
- Participate in internal design reviews;
- Survey aircraft and create 3D models of legacy aircraft structure.
Skills and Experience:
- Less than 2 years of aerospace engineering or design experience;
- Familiar with 3D CAD modeling and drafting software (SOLIDWORKS preferred);
- Experience using hand tools to measure and document dimensions (calipers, micrometer, radius gauge, etc.);
- Proficient with MS Office.

Education:
B.S. Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering Degree.
