Mechanical Engineer Ii

New Journey, a Genesis10 company, is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer with our client in their Burr Ridge, IL location. This is a 6-month contract position and 100% onsite.
Responsibilities:

• Perform Vehicle Dynamics simulations using tools such as Siemens Simcenter 3D motion, Matlab/Simulink and AMESim
• Develop realistic simulation models to accurately predict vehicle behavior and correlate to prototype vehicle
• Provide design proposals to Engineering team to improve or optimize vehicle ride and handling performance
• Develop vehicle system and component loads through the use of flexible bodies to support durability analysis
• Develop co-simulation models by working closely with hydraulics, controls and soil/crop modeling groups

Requirements:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering OR Physics
• Must have Transition Modeling - preferably in the automotive industry
• High level of analytical problem-solving skills in multi-physics environment
• Good communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work both independently and as part of a global team
• Required Experience:
  • Must have RecurDyn or Simcenter 3D software 3yr
  • Must have Driveline or transmission Multibody Dynamics 1yr
  • Multibody dynamics coursework
  • AND/OR Any academic project or real project experience in multibody dynamics
  • AND/OR tire method development in multibody dynamics
• Only candidates available and ready to work directly as New Journey employees will be considered for this position.

Range: The hourly pay rate range for this position is $53.50-56.00/hr. Compensation will vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This range is subject to change.
