Primary Functions
- Serve and represent Fishbeck as a commissioning authority on projects.
- Assist in development of the Owner’s Project Requirements (OPR).
- Writes and incorporates commissioning specifications and commissioning plan into the contract documents.
- Work closely with the owner, contractors, and designers and provide insight.
- Perform design document commissioning reviews.
- Review submittals within the commissioning scope.
- Perform project site visits for meetings and observe equipment installation.
- Prepare equipment and system functional testing documents.
- Perform and guide functional testing activities.
- Compile commissioning final reports and systems manuals.
- Perform monitoring based commissioning.
Minimum Physical Requirements
Occasionally exposed to light lifting, sitting, and walking. Will have normal office working conditions and be required to use a computer. Must be capable of traveling to and from project sites for attending client and project meetings and be able to access project sites for observation, investigation, and evaluation. Must be able to use equipment for communication and documentation purposes. Visual acuity necessary to perform responsibilities.
Desired Education/Licensure
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or architectural engineering or equivalent experience.
Desired Skills/Experience
- 5+ years of experience in Engineering with a focus on Commissioning.
- Certified Commission Agent preferred.
- Project management experience.
- A good aptitude for spatial design.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Excellent communication skills, be team-oriented, and a self-starter.
Expectations
- About 30 percent of the time will be in the field and about 70 percent of the time will be in the office.
- Of the 30 percent field work, there will be some travel required.
