PURPOSE
Primary responsibilities for this position are designing and developing mechanical and electromechanical components and products for the high-speed document scanning industry. This position requires the ability to apply a broad knowledge of Mechanical Engineering principles, both theoretical and practical, to product design. Inherent to the position is the ability to use basic engineering problem-solving methodology to define problems, collect data, analyze data, propose solutions, and evaluate solutions for effectiveness. The position requires verbal and written communications skills and the ability to work well within an engineering team environment and with interdepartmental teams. This position requires an engineer that is a self-starter, self-motivated, and can navigate most design tasks with only general supervision. The person filling this position needs to maintain awareness of current technologies and changes in technology through continual learning.
