About the Role
APQS is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in engineering principles, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for creating exceptional products to join our team in Carroll, Iowa.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Design a variety of components for appropriate manufacturing processes such as sheet metal bending, injection molding, die casting, machining, and 3D printing
- Create CAD models and drawings using SolidWorks
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project goals, requirements, and constraints
- Prepare BOMs and technical documentation
- Research materials, vendors, and processes for product development and improvement
- Create physical prototypes and mockups to evaluate design concepts
- Maintain organized project documentation and design files
- Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and manufacturing advancements
About You:
- Proficient in a 3D CAD package (preferably SolidWorks)
- You thrive in an atmosphere that values creativity, innovation & initiative.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Education in robotics a plus
