Relocation assistance is available for candidates living 50 miles or more.
This role will work onsite at our Arlington TX plant location.
Candidates must be capable of performing in a manufacturing technical environment and assignments includes working in Plant Engineering or Plant Facilities (selected candidates will support Stamping, Body Shop, Paint Shop, General Assembly depending upon plant needs).
Arlington Assembly Plant is a 3 Shifts/6 days Production operation Plant; candidates for this position will be required to support between first, second, and third shift on a periodic basis. Candidates will be required to support weekend work activities based on area specific needs (including support during scheduled Holiday downtime).
Responsibilities of this position include:
Demonstrate and enforce safe work practices as the highest priority
Align with the terms of local and national labor agreements
Implement divisional and corporate policies
Acquire a deep knowledge and drive implementation of GMS principles
Perform root cause analysis and develop corrective actions for equipment failures
Provide technical guidance for sophisticated and unusual plant operations or projects
Develop a proactive safety culture across the organization
Engage and support upcoming major projects including weekend work as needed
Evaluate processes and procedures for Continuous Improvement opportunities
Review and evaluate proposals for existing and new manufacturing processes including funding requests such as ARs, NPPs and MBCs
Develop long-range plans for improvements of processes and manufacturing activities
Frequent contact with others outside the work group and plant
Manage 3rd party contractors as required
Additional Description
Basic Required
3+ years experience managing or supporting equipment/facilities projects
Analytical ability and creativity to solve unusual and difficult problems
Interpersonal skills to work effectively with line workers, maintenance personnel, and all levels of management
Strong work ethic with self-initiative
Strong follow up to handle multitasking
Understanding of manufacturing and tooling processes required
Strong MSOffice skills (Excel, Outlook, Word, Powerpoint, Project, Teams)
Flexibility to change quickly from one assignment to another as priorities change
Basic Preferred
Project Management Basics
Conveyance systems experience with OHPF, IPF, flat top, transfer tables, roller tables, VDLs, …
Working knowledge of Autocad, Siemens NX, or related drawing programs
eSAP (services/parts request system)
MAXIMO (maintenance scheduling computer based system)
KRONOS (timekeeping system)
Archibus PDPM Tool
Experience with 3D printing systems
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering discipline is required
PE, PMP Certifications are a plus for this position
