Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

·         As part of the CMES organization, you will act as a document management analyst for a novel type of aircraft development targeting the autonomous UAM market.

·         You will take part in the document and drawing review and release process.

·         You will enforce design standards and release processes in order to meet ANSI Y14 drawing standards as noted in our engineering drawing standard.

·         You will examine 3D models and related drawings within Teamcenter and NX CAD environment ensuring compliance with 3D modeling standards and drafting procedures.

·         You will help support problem solving activities with regard to document errors, drawing workflow problems and process related deviations.

·         You will help coordinate proper product structure arrangement while reviewing parts and assemblies for engineering release.

·         You will take part in team meetings, collaborate with engineering and functional teams to improve processes, and provide training for released processes.

·         In some areas, you will be working closely with engineering, manufacturing, legal and program management to accomplish your day-to-day activities.

 

Education/Experience

·         You will have an engineering degree in mechanical, electrical or aerospace engineering, technical writing capability or a degree or experience suited to a document management role with an emphasis on NX CAD design.

 

Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.

·         You have worked on various FAA certification programs or experimental aircraft development programs and understand document deliveries for FAA certification programs.

·         You have hands-on experience reviewing and providing detailed technical, process and format feedback on drawings and documentation supporting an aircraft certification program.

·         You have a strong and applied knowledge of complex aircraft product structure including hardware and software configurations.

·         You have a strong and applied understanding of program management processes applied to document management scope and can provide metrics, detailed documentation of a review, complete checklist, and questionnaires to document feedback for engineering consumption.

·         You are a highly motivated, self-starting individual with a broad set of skills and never afraid of facing complex technical challenges.

·         You are a solution-oriented individual with a strong analytical mindset

·         You have strong communication skills and can easily tailor your communications to suit the audience.

·         You can adapt quickly or propose changes needed to achieve early results in a timely fashion.

·         You embrace challenges and take commitments and deliver results within reasonable expectations.

·         You are a positive team player.

 

Desired skills

·         You have several years’ experience with Siemens Teamcenter and NX CAD environments.

·         If you have other PLM or CAD experience, you have the ability to translate those skills into a Teamcenter / NX CAD environment.

·         You have developed document and drawing standards and processes. You have enforced document and drawing standards.

·         You have provided training to multiple engineers for document and drawing processes.

·         You are familiar with or have developed configuration management plans, document management plans, and associate checklists.

·         You are familiar with NX Checkmate and NX PMI or equivalent functions.

 

 

Salary Range: $65k– $75k

 

The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
