Mechanical Designer Job Description:
We are seeking a versatile and skilled individual to join our team as a Mechanical Designer / Engineer / Technician. In this dynamic role, you will play a crucial part in the design, development, and manufacturing of our cutting-edge vacuum furnaces and processing equipment.
Mechanical Designer Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering
• 5 to 8 years of experience in a similar role within the industry.
• Perform CAD (SolidWorks) to create mechanical drawings for machining, fabrication, and assembly.
• Develop bill of materials and specify materials for ordering.
• Design or specify control systems.
• Possess a solid mechanical background with the ability to perform relatively simple calculations for estimating loading and stresses.
• Design complex machines, systems, and enclosures from scratch or rough concepts.
• Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy due to minimal oversight.
• Understand materials, including metals, plastics, and ceramics.
• Work closely with manufacturing to develop optimal solutions for each product.
• Interface directly with customers and support sales as expertise increases.
• Assist in the first production testing and commissioning of new products.
• Travel domestically and internationally as required.
