Mechanical Assembler/Operator

Job Responsibilities:

• Signs in ESD log twice a day (beginning of work and after lunch break)
• Reviews and follow Schedules or Instructions from Supervisor.
• Reviews Work Instructions for contents and completeness (MPI)
• Signs off MPI on the page that specifies your job. Check work instruction page daily for updates. If updates (example: ECO, Deviation, or Shortage Report.) Initial and date to indicate you have been made aware of changes.
• Ensures all tooling are available prior to start a job. When there are discrepancies, do not start a job without any authorization from Engineer or Supervisor
• Assists areas that are bottleneck per Supervisor direction
• Scans all serial #’s on to Data-collection System
• At the end of the shift, make sure the working areas are clean.
• Escalates all issues to Supervisor.
• Attends training and implement all procedures pertaining to ESD, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Safety, MSD Handling procedure, etc.
• Reviews all data scans and work daily. Once you scan that is verification that you have read MPI and understand content.
• Ensures that routings on MPI’s and Data base match. If not update Supervisor and team. Come up with quick solution.
• Creates or works with Materials to come up with a Min Max or Kan Ban for Pilot or production runs. Ensure no line down situations. Communicate with Supervisor on any material issues.
• Keeps a log on MRB and Debug units. Schedule with Supervisor and Quality.
• Able get his/her own parts (independent, less supervision)
• Tracks units and measures daily output.
• Reviews Data Base for Quality defects and update Supervisor.
• Ensures that all operators clean up after end of shift.
• Ensures that there is a very detailed pass down to both Supervisors on end of shifts.
• Creates a team atmosphere

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or 1 – 3 years prior experience
