Mechanical Assembler (Ft)

• Assemble custom-built mobile material handling machinery for rail markets using mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic techniques, as well as welding, electrical wiring, and hitching on cranes.
• Read and follow blueprints, BOMs, and specifications for accurate and timely assembly.
• Test and calibrate parts to meet tolerances and product specifications.
• Use hand and power tools, and assist less experienced team members.

• Follow wiring diagrams to connect electrical cabling accurately.
• Perform point-to-point or harness wiring and wire mounting panels per documentation.
• Create or re-wire harnesses and cables according to instructions.

• Maintain high-quality standards and productivity levels.
• Spray paint parts, layout and fit parts for welding, and prepare machinery for shipping.
• Rebuild machinery, clean, repair, disassemble, reassemble, and adjust machines as needed.

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred Associate's Degree or Technical School Certification.
• Experience: 3-5+ years in a custom build shop preferred.
• Technical Skills: Read blueprints, operate a computer, use hand tools, interpret 3D prints/schematics.

• Effective communication, accountability, mechanical aptitude, critical thinking, and a desire to succeed.

• Regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, lift up to 50 pounds unassisted (up to 100 pounds with assistance).
• Work in typical manufacturing conditions with seasonal temperature variations and occasional exposure to fumes or by-products.
