Position Overview: The Assembler I is responsible for assemblingcomponent parts for rail communications equipment. Reports directly toProduction Supervisor and/or Team Leader. What your day-to-day will look like: The Assembler I will beresponsible for the assembly of component parts with the use of assembly printsand Bill of Materials (BOM).
The Assembler I will be trained. Also responsiblefor: Read, interpret, and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products. Utilize handheld tools such as a handheld screw and drill gun Work with Quality department to ensure the product meets quality standards.
Wire crimping, stripping, and soldering Perform 5S activities and maintain equipment in proper working order, and improve work area cleanliness Perform work in a safe and healthy manner; ensuring deviations to standard work instructions that will lead to quality, productivity, or safety problems are immediately identified Identify and communicate ideas to team leaders that support improving the team's performance and the elimination of waste Participate in process improvement activities Support other assembly teams when required Display professional conduct with customers and coworkers Attend training sessions as needed or required To thrive in this role, you have: Basic computer skills required Good oral and written communication skills Basic math skills Problem solving skills Preferred Knowledge/Skills,Education, and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required Minimum of one year manufacturing experience preferred Why you'll love working for Siemens! 11 paid holidays, 18 days of PTO 401K - 6% company match Freedom and healthy work-life balance- Health, Dental, Vision Insurance, HSA/FSA, Commuter Benefits - starting Day 1!
