SalaryThe mechanic position requires the ability to repair various types of construction equipment, trucks, trailers, aerial lifts and heavy equipment such as forklifts, boom lifts, excavators and skid steers.
Mechanic Key Job Responsibilities
- Experience in latest electronically controlled machinery and heavy equipment
- Responsible for repairs and general maintenance to all rental and shop equipment: Internal Combustion Engines (both gas and diesel), DC Electrical Systems 12, 24, 48 volts, Propane & hydraulic systems, Track & Aerial Equipment, Heavy Trucks/Automotive
- Mechanic must be able to fully comprehend hydraulic and electrical schematics with a history of successful troubleshooting and technical experience
- Diagnose and troubleshoot fuel systems, electrical systems, hydraulic systems and propane systems
- Must be able to communicate verbally and written in a service-oriented manner to fellow team members, vendors, and manufacturers for questions and support
- Perform work in a safe and responsible manner
Mechanic Requirements/Skills:
- 1-3 years of hands-on experience with diesel engines and hydraulics
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Ability to handle assorted tools safely
- Basic computer knowledge to open and close work orders
Mechanic Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs. and infrequently lifting up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to climb over and into heavy equipment occasionally.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
