It's now time to get ready for grilling season and that means we need to add to the team! We have full-time and part-time positions available.

POSITION TITLE: MEAT CLERK

JOB SUMMARY:
Assisting customers with purchases in the meat department, offering preparation and serving suggestions, maintaining the stock level in display cases, processing of meat department products, clean-up, and safety and sanitation of equipment and department.
Individuals suitable for this position will have the physical ability to bend, twist, stoop, lift up to 100 lbs, and work continually on their feet, sometimes in a cold and wet environment.
FUNDAMENTAL JOB TASKS:
- Assist the customer with purchases of products and with other services such as slicing, grinding, repackaging, serving suggestions, cooking procedures, etc.
- Responsible for wrapping, scaling, trimming, pricing, and re-pricing of all meat department products according to company policies and procedures which include customer protection laws and applicable weights and measures regulations
- Maintain the proper supply of products in the display cases and packaged deli cases. Ensure proper rotation and display of products per company standards and schematics.
- Responsible for cleanup of wrapping, scaling, and production equipment according to proper cleaning and sanitation procedures.
- Responsible for maintaining acceptable levels of product inventory, organized storage, and identification.
- Order and inventory products and supplies as assigned
- This position requires bending, twisting, stooping, and lifting up to 100 lbs., as well as the ability to work continually on your feet in a wet, cold environment.
REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 16 years of age.
- Ability to read and communicate in English (equipment manuals, shelf tags and prices, and labels).
- Sufficient hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations.
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude and use good judgment when with customers and co-workers.
- Must maintain a high sense of honesty, integrity, and work ethic.
