Jesuit Dallas Mathematics Teacher
Jesuit Dallas is seeking a qualified and innovative educator to teach high school Mathematics in a faith based environment. Candidates must enjoy working with adolescent males and their families. Successful candidates will possess a passion for forming adolescents, engaging in life-long learning, and collaborating with peers in the pursuit of the school's mission. Responsibilities include the following:
- Form and educate young men to be open to growth, intellectually competent, loving, religious, committed to working for justice and physically fit.
- Teach, in cooperation with course level teams, five sections of mathematics.
- Collaborate with members of the Mathematics department in on-going curriculum development and review.
- Participate in all departmental and school-wide faculty formation.
- Engage in on-going professional development.
- Participate in student-centered co-curricular, extra-curricular, service, and/or retreat opportunities.
- Undergraduate degree in Mathematics or a related field.
- Advanced degree preferred.
- Experience teaching in a Standards Aligned Curriculum preferred.
- Works in a fast paced environment dealing with a wide variety of challenges, deadlines, and a diverse array of contacts.
- May work at a desk and computer for an extended period of time;
- Occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.
