ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare Lesson Plans That Meet the Needs of Learners
- Ensure lessons are aligned to standards and represent a coherent sequence of learning.
- Prepare lessons with high levels of learning for all students.
- Assist students in taking responsibility for learning and monitor student learning.
- Provide multiple ways for students to make meaning of content.
- Recognize and respond appropriately to individual differences and developmental stages of students.
- Manage a learning-focused classroom community.
- Manage classroom space, time, and resources (including technology when appropriate) effectively for student learning.
- Create and maintain a classroom of respect for all students.
- Engage in professional learning.
- Establish and maintain effective communication with colleagues, students, and families/guardians.
- Master's degree in Math or at least 21 hours of graduate level math courses.
- Minimum Class "A" Mississippi Teaching Certificate
- Subject required endorsement(s) to be "highly qualified".
