Duties & Responsibilities: (Essential Functions of Position, Major Responsibilities, Summary of Key Duties, Special Assignments, Relationships)
- Review and align the math curriculum to best practices
- Implement and monitor math curriculum, instruction and reporting of learning to ensure advancement of student achievement for all learners
- Evaluate the effectiveness of the curriculum and intervention programs with respect to quality, fidelity, and consistency throughout all grade levels
- Utilize Implementation Science to monitor and support fidelity of implementation of math curriculum resources, instruction and reporting of learning
- Assure vertical and horizontal articulation of the math core curriculum aligned to grade level standards and benchmarks with pacing guides
- Support teachers in Standards Based Assessment and Reporting (SBAR). This includes reviewing prioritized standards, pacing of standards, rubrics, and assessments
- Review and monitor district curriculum assessments including formative assessments, unit assessments, benchmark assessments, and annual state assessments, etc.
- Use the continuous improvement process to collaboratively review, design, and develop the math secondary courses to increase postsecondary student outcomes
- Provide leadership and training for math in Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) including Assessment and Data-Based Decision Making, Universal Instruction, Intervention Systems, Infrastructure, and Leadership
- Plan professional development aligned to the math initiatives and curriculum and instruction needs including Leadership Academies, District In-service, collaborative teacher teams, and District PD
- Collect, review and analyze District and building data through Panorama, Fastbridge, and Tableau to monitor MTSS Healthy Indicators
- Provide support for online learning
- Collaborate with and direct TLCS technology innovators to provide support for buildings with their use of technology and district supported programs
- Collaborate with buildings and District interventionists to follow the Intervention Systems guide for program fidelity
- Select and oversee distribution of curriculum and instructional materials
- District Manager for FASTBridge Learning and primary contact for Math in Panorama MTSS Student Success system
- Create and maintain positive learning environments contributing to a positive climate and culture consistent with PBIS.
- Ability to take initiative and direction

- Monitor/manage budgets
- Review building ELA purchase requisitions
- Manage Textbook Ordering System and Student consumables for math
- Other duties as assigned based on District needs
- Able to walk up and down stairs

- Regularly required to sit for extended periods of time
Minimum Requirements:
- Masters Degree and/or Administrative Certification
- Content Area Certification with an emphasis on math (Iowa certification)
- Five years of classroom experience
- One year of experience with math curriculum development
- Extensive experience working with technology such as math educational platforms/software and student information systems
- Experience collecting, analyzing and synthesizing data
